Meet the Team

Randy Cathcart feels fortunate to have a “get to” job rather than a “got to” job. With nearly 25 years of industry experience, Randy gets to sit down with families every day and help them steward the wealth with which they’ve been blessed. His favorite aspect of his work is hearing the stories – he loves the stories of how clients have created wealth and used it to support their families or create good. He has seen kids educated, retirement dreams fulfilled, dream vacations realized, and wealth passed to the next generation. 

Simply put, Randy is FOR people. He works with clients from all walks of life, helping them map out their long-term financial goals and invest accordingly to meet them. He and his team are rooted in a deep sense of purpose that motivates them to create, innovate, and provide the highest-quality services and solutions for their clients. 

Randy and his wife, Anita, live in Dardenne Prairie, MO, and they have three children: Reagan is a junior at the University of Utah, Canon is a freshman at University of Alabama, and Ridge is a sophomore at Westminster High School. In 2011, Randy completed a full Ironman, and he believes in the power of dreaming big and working hard to accomplish difficult things.  Randy is deeply involved in his church, The Crossing, located in Chesterfield, MO.

Bringing 20 years of experience to the team, Travis Luebbehusen cherishes every opportunity to help people achieve their financial goals through retirement. Through the complexities of wealth, Travis seeks to help people navigate the markets and find solutions to challenges along their journey. He finds it especially rewarding to see the look on a client’s face when he tells them that they’ve saved enough to retire whenever they want.

Travis specializes in asset management, estate planning strategies, retirement planning, and concentrated stock strategies. He believes wealth has a story behind it, and he loves hearing the stories from his clients about how they obtained theirs.

Travis earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. Committed to continuing education, he later earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ designation.

With a passion for service, Travis and his family volunteer at The Crossing Church, where Travis attended a medical mission trip to Ghana to plan the building of a hospital in a remote area. Travis also volunteers at organizations throughout the St. Louis community.

Travis lives with his wife, Amanda, and their two children, Ridge and Palmer, in Weldon Spring, MO. His family owns two beloved Lagatto Romagnolo dogs. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, being outdoors, and watching his kids’ activities. Having previously worked for a Major League Baseball organization in college, Travis also enjoys anything baseball-related.

Bringing over 15 years of wealth management experience, Melanie Avery values helping clients and families create comprehensive plans that honor their goals and dreams. Through a deep discovery of what is most important to clients, Melanie works to help them improve their wellbeing in all aspects of life with the philosophy that all areas of health integrate with one another: mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and financial. 
 
Melanie is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠, and a Certified Private Wealth Advisor®. Having earned these designations, Melanie is required to meet continuing education requirements to maintain them and consistently applies her advanced skills to her work with clients, which is one of the most valuable components she brings to the comprehensive planning process.  
 
Melanie earned her B.S. in Education from the University of Missouri and went on to obtain her Master’s degree from Webster University with an emphasis in communication. 
 
With a deep commitment to her community, Melanie supports animal rescue organizations, as well as organizations that support education throughout life. Before joining the financial services industry, Melanie was a teacher in her local school district and carries an enduring passion for educational opportunities, both in her career and away from the office. 
 
Melanie and her husband, Pete, have lived in Kirkwood, MO, since 2003 and love their community. Together, they have a son, Joseph, and a daughter, Grace Elaine. In her free time, Melanie enjoys going for long walks, being outside as much as possible, reading books of various genres, practicing yoga, and spending time with family, friends, and colleagues, which she believes are one in the same.

Paul Compton has served clients in the financial industry for 40 years. Paul’s passion is to develop deep, personal relationships with families in order to help them achieve their long-term objectives and wealth accumulation goals. He helps his clients invest with care, skill, and prudence and guides them in being responsible stewards of their wealth. 

With a focus in asset management, estate planning strategies, retirement planning, and goals-based investing, Paul helps his clients identify their objectives and constraints on their wealth management journey. He takes each client through a process to analyze and establish their needs and recommends, reports, and reviews an investment strategy tailored to each individual or family.

Paul earned a bachelor’s degree in English Language & Literature from the University of Virginia. To advance his industry education, he earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst℠ (CIMA®) certification through the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

Committed to helping his community prosper, Paul acted as the former treasurer and is a current board member for the Eugene Field House Foundation. He also volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America for 25 years and has served as a board member or volunteer for several charitable organizations and his family church. 

Paul lives with his wife, Katie, in Kirkwood, MO, and they have three grown children, Mary, Wheeler, and Susie, as well as a daughter-in-law, Lauren, and a son-in-law, Nate. Their children are all pursuing their own careers and forming their families. In his free time, Paul collects antique fly-fishing equipment, Scouting memorabilia, and Asahi Pentax cameras and lenses.

In over 25 years of experience as a financial advisor, Rob Bagby doesn’t view his job as work. Rob works closely with each of his clients to understand their unique situations and help them customize investment strategies that reflect their financial needs. He works closely with people to close the retirement income gap, and he helps people create plans and estate planning strategies.

Rob values integrity in his practice and treats every client as if he were working with a family member. He has developed close friendships with his clients and now works with the third generation of some of their families. Rob loves talking with people about more than just investing and planning – he likes to hear about their lives and personal details that are unique to them. 

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri, Rob earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. This certification is awarded after meeting educational and experience requirements, as well as passing an exam covering areas such as asset allocation, estate planning strategies, life insurance, and retirement planning. 

With a daily goal of giving back to his community, Rob volunteers at Circle of Concern Food Pantry and is active in his church. He lives in Wildwood, MO, and enjoys hiking and exploring national and state parks, as well as hunting and fishing. You can find him walking his three rescue dogs almost every day.

For nearly three decades, Tom has worked with a diverse clientele, including high net worth individuals, small business owners and sole practitioner professionals.  Tom’s key areas of focus are helping investors create and preserve wealth and plan for their retirement.  Everyone’s situation is different and unique, so Tom takes a comprehensive and personal approach to the planning, investment and retirement process.

 

Beginning his career in this industry with A.G. Edward’s & Son, Inc. in 1993, Tom was drawn to the “Client First” philosophy the firm adhered to in their business practices.  Wells Fargo Advisors acquired A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. in 2008 and that philosophy has continued.

 

A lifelong St. Louis area resident, Tom returned to St. Louis from Columbia, Missouri after graduation from the University of Missouri in 1980.  After graduation, he successfully completed the Uniform CPA exam, though he is no longer practicing, and in 2010 attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

 

Tom and his wife Kathy have raised two sons here and they both continue to live in the area.   The oldest, Joseph, and his wife Melissa live in Wildwood and their youngest, Patrick, lives in the Tower Grove Park area in St. Louis.  Tom and Kathy share a passion for parks and the outdoors and enjoy traveling to National Parks and locally both serve on community boards supporting area parks.

Rick Hagedorn has spent the past forty years managing client relationships, and sixteen years of that has been dedicated to doing so in the financial services industry. Rick’s passion is meeting clients from all walks of life, hearing their stories of business success and life, and crafting a plan that is designed to realize their financial goals through retirement.

Rick is a Saint Louis native having graduated from John Burroughs School before receiving a BA in history from the University of Santa Clara in Santa Clara, California. He is active in his church and the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul. Core to Rick and the FOR Team is a dedication to giving back to the community which is in our DNA.

Rick has been married for forty years to his wife Melinda who owns and operates an interior design business. They have two amazing and successful daughters; Elizabeth is a journalist for Al-Monitor covering the State Department and Mideast Policy from Washington DC, and Catherine, who runs a production company in the Los Angeles area. When not in the office, Rick loves to visit his girls, snow ski, golf, travel, watch college football, work in the yard, read and cook.

With more than a decade in the financial services industry, Lilly Schweich is people-focused and loves building meaningful relationships with clients. Lilly has served in several departments during her time in the industry, including operations, client service, and administrative management. In her current role she enjoys acting as a concierge for many of FOR’s high-net-worth clients and tailors services to meet their needs. Her favorite aspect of her work is having the opportunity to advocate for clients and minimize their obstacles to reaching their financial goals. 

Lilly graduated with honors and received her B.A. in Communications from Lindenwood University. She also holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations.   In 2023 she attained her CRPC™ designation.

Having been an active-duty Army dependent, Lilly feels passionate about serving people in the military. She served as the president of the board of directors for the Washington Naval JROTC Booster Club for two years, and the board’s secretary for two years. She is a member of The Valley of the Meramec chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution.

Lilly resides in Washington, MO, with her husband, Duane. Their son, Evan, is a marketing major at Southeast Missouri State University. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, camping, and travelling.  Their family has two miniature Australian shepherds that they enjoy taking on walks down the Washington Riverfront Trail.

As the team’s Client Portfolio Analyst, Shellie Fronick works to enhance the client experience by providing personalized service to each client, while deepening the team’s relationships with them. Shellie is responsible for developing and implementing the best procedures to meet the logistical, digital, and administrative needs of both clients and team members. In her work, she enjoys the connections she makes with clients and keeping the team organized and efficient.

Shellie previously served as a Client Service Associate Coach, Senior Client Associate, and Portfolio Associate, as well as working in Branch Operations for a short time. Through these various roles, she has gained a holistic understanding of how the financial services industry functions, both administratively and operationally.

Passionate about serving her local community, Shellie jumps at any opportunity to support causes for veterans. She is also a regular blood donor with the American Red Cross and has been a Scout Coordinator for the Greater St. Louis Honor Flight since 2019. She regularly volunteers at her church, The Crossing.

Shellie lives in Ballwin, MO, with her husband, Matt, and their daughter, Madeline. In her free time, she enjoys listening and dancing to local bands, exploring Missouri state parks, and running 5ks and half marathons. In 2019, Shellie earned her Jazzercize Instructor certification and continues to teach several classes a week.

Bridie Smith enjoys creating relationships with clients and goes above and beyond to help them build, manage, preserve, and transition their financial resources. Bridie brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and focuses on investment administration, operations, and client management. She assists financial advisors with sales, account management, scheduling, and prospecting and serves as the first point of contact for clients. 

Bridie graduated with honors and earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Maryville University. She also holds her Series 7 and 66 registrations.

With a unique Irish name and an organized type A personality, Bridie fills her free time by remaining active with her children’s various activities. She and her kids, Ella and Jase, live in Fenton, MO. Having played competitive softball (won state championship in high school), Bridie enjoys coaching her daughter’s softball team. She also volunteers at her children’s school.

Amy Clark has proudly worked in the financial services industry for nearly 25 years. In addition to being a first point of contact for clients, Amy is responsible for new client onboarding, scheduling, account management, operations, and creating a personalized experience for each person and family that walks through the door.

The most gratifying aspect of Amy’s work is developing long-lasting relationships with clients and getting to know them over their years of work together. She enjoys serving as the liaison between the team’s clients and their advisors.

Committed to her local community, Amy is particularly passionate about giving back to organizations for furry friends, such as the Stray Rescue and the Humane Society of St. Louis. Amy currently lives in O’Fallon, MO, with her husband, Scott, and they have three daughters. In her free time, Amy enjoys spending time with family, reading, and being outdoors.

Tori comes to us with 15 years in the financial industry, but her true passion lies in the relationship management portion of the business. Her dedication to the client experience and eagerness to develop and maintain relationships with her clients are paramount to her fulfillment in her work.   She realizes that the focus of making the financial goals of her clients a smooth experience can make or break a client relationship and she makes it her personal mission to create ease and comfort in those more difficult times.  

Tori is originally from a small town in Illinois and attributes much of her accommodating nature to this upbringing.   Tori was a member of the Advisory Council, and she also holds her Series 7 and 66 registrations.

Tori loves to play softball, volleyball, golf and anything on the water.   Growing up at the foot of her father’s drum set, Tori is passionate about music and supporting local arts.   She passes this love onto her two daughters Emma (15) and Ella (12) as well as her son, Geno (13).  They live and create together with her husband, Brent in Saint Peters, MO.
